The Wait

The waiting was forever,
the hollow words she believed in,
Her tiny hopeful dreams,
Purple star and lavender flowers
Trying to soothe
the sting bee buzzes across,
bringing the message,
In the midnight garden,
He will not come.

The Wait is the first of my women series, in which i intend to depict various emotions of a woman. A woman is as beautiful and delicate as a flower, i use them in abundance. You will notice it in my subsequent works in the same series. This artwork took me more than 70 hours to complete. To each, every painting has its own interpretation, but i have expressed it in colors, in words and in poetry.
